Sunshine

I have been to places

untouched and serene

Boundless spaces

as far as can be seen

I feel the calm

my mind becomes clear

I hear the quiet

needless thoughts disappear

I see what isn't

the colours in my mind

Who knows what facet holds

my heart in a bind?

I think it is the sunshine

that melts away the shroud

I will take this sense of gay

back home with me I vowed.
