We need a change

We are so bored

Lets go someplace lovely

Our tired minds roared.

We need a break

From home-made curries

Our humdrum routines

The same old worries.

A day with friends...

A weekend getaway

Or Something special

Why not an exotic holiday!

It is hard to choose

We want the perfect location

Shouldn't it be better

Than the last destination?

A beach resort?

A place of History?

A hill station?

Or a wild life sanctuary?

So many things to do

So many places to see

How far can we stretch

The Indian Rupee?

Its finally done

We decide on one

Excitement mounts

This is going to be fun!

The lights go off

We are done with the packing

The doors get locked

Oh Wow! We are actually leaving!

We have travelled miles

We have breathed fresh air

We have seen new places

Taken photos with some flair!

Couldn't be better.

We have planned it right

Its endless joy

From morning to night.

We have laughed a lot

A week has gone by

We have made so many friends

We are still on a high!

It has been 10 days now

We have stayed in so many hotels

A little piqued with

Used rooms and other such smells.

The vacation is over

We get on the flight

About time we get back

It seems just right.

This is where we belong

We open our front door

We go right in

Room numbers and bell boys no more!

Our mind is at rest

There is no place like home.

Comfortable in our bed

This one is all our own.

It happens every time

We have been out to roam

We realise

There' is no place like home.
