A visual Illusion — Maya

It was the usual relaxed Saturday afternoon in animal land.

All of them just pottering around.............................................Doing their own thing.

A lovely day. Cloudy. It had rained that morning.

Nothing much happening at all

Owww....I am so bored....I quit! I am going back to the city.

And then.....all of a sudden......

The stork...

Then the deer...

And the Langur...

What was that sound?

The sound of silence. The birds were quiet all of a sudden. Even the leaves seemed to have stopped their rustling in the gentle breeze.

Why????

DANGER???!!!!!

Oh Yes!

There she was. She stepped out of the thick shrubs.....Just about 300 feet away.– Maya

And walked along the water.

..... as the stunned stork watched.

What.. was.. she.. going to......?

Better to walk away? Just cooling off, eh?

OMG! She seemed to be looking here! At ME...

Getting out of the water...

And slowly walking.......

.........this way?

Definitely this way....

Oh yes...this way...

Past the water...to the path leading towards us.

She came past the waterbody...just about a 100 feet away. And looked at us!

And walks on

...a bit faster than before?

Eyes still on us....

Just about 50 feet away .....

Oh please go back into the forest...

Close ...at 30 feet

......20 feet...

FEAR

What if.......................................?

She walks past.....

And on....

And on.....

.....And turning away......??

....further away......

Down to the path behind us...That peacock didn't want to be in the way either.

and she walked on...

Crossed the path...

And disappeared into the dense jungle on the other side.

Life got back to normal...

A visual treat.

All of three minutes.

Thank god ...

.........................................It ended the way it did.
